Interview with Monroe

What was your biggest fear when you first decided to begin as a web cam model?

Monroe:

At the beginning, I had a lot of fears that, in fact, were more like problems for me as I was thinking…if I don’t like the members, if I don’t make money, if someone I know find me on the websites and etc. Well, it really matters, which studio you would choose to work with as they should have experience in this field, they should understand your fears and constantly support you. I found Rich and Pretty Studio and we still work together for about 3 years and I can say that this is the studio, you are looking for as if you have any complexes, for example, you will be surprised how quickly you will get rid of them as you will be complemented daily by the members in there. I noticed, that there is an audience for any girl, regardless of height, weight, hair colour and so on. If you are afraid of being discovered… again, I will tell you that it is important, especially at the beginning, to choose a studio that does not publish any pictures or videos of you and does not work with sites that endanger your identity. In time you will understand that there is nothing shameful in what you do and when you start telling your friends you will see that they would not judge you.

What is the biggest disadvantage of this job?

Monroe:

It really depends on the person and their priorities. When I first started this job, I was a student and the main disadvantage was that, while I was working 8-10 hours a day in the studio, my friends had fun, went to clubs and restaurants. Well, but I really wanted to be independent, so I chose to work and now I don’t regret it. I am really satisfied from working as a web cam model as I could allow myself to purchase my own car at the age of 24, without having to ask my parents for money. My opinion is that it is better to work 8,9,10 hours in the web cam sites for a salary of over 5,000 pounds per month, than working a whole year for this money in another sector.

How much did you earn in the beginning working as a video chat model?

Monroe:

I still remember this period, even though was about 3 years ago when I first started. I was very disappointed in the beginning as I worked 11 days, 10 hours a day and I only made 900 pounds. Maybe for other girls this is a satisfying amount of money, but I had to set a target of at least 1 500 pounds for 11 days.

I understood, a bit late, that web cam modelling was not as simple as it was promoted at the time, and the money I made were related to the fact that I was a beginner and I didn’t know much English. Now if I go back at the beginning, and if you want me to remember what I was talking to my members in private show, I would laugh a lot as it was really funny as of the fact that my English knowledge was very poor. The whole Rich and Pretty team encouraged me enormously and I remember that I was so surprised in the second month, when the payments were calculated, as I collected 2,500 pounds.

What was your most memorable moment as a web cam model?

Monroe:

I have so many memories. After the first months, since I started, I was much more relaxed. It’s just you in the room. You and the computer. I understood, that I can do whatever I want, to be whoever I want without being judged by anyone and that I am the “Boss” in my room. From that moment, I started to love this job. I met really interesting people online from whom I learned a lot of things, from history – to cooking, and even a little bit of politics. As a memorable moment, I can say that I was so happy, when a member gave me a tip of 4,000 pounds for my birthday.

What advice would you give to a beginner model?

Monroe:

Patience. They should have a lot of patience and treat this job as a full time job and not just as a source of income for cigarettes, alcohol or shopping. If you like what you do and you are willing to put a little more effort to get where you want, you will succeed! It is not an easy job as many studios or models say and it is also not a job for everyone. If you choose to be a web cam model, then it is good to dedicate 4-5 years to this job as the more you grow – the more you will make. Another advantage is that in time, you will also how to speak fluent English which we think is a really good benefit that this job brings. You will also understand: how men think, what problems they have, what desires they have. It’s something that would help you in life, an experience that will definitely benefit you! If you like what you do and you are ambitious… the money will come too!
